Admission Criteria:
- The candidate must be from a stream of science with (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and English with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (PCBE)
- The minimum age for admission should be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
- The minimum educational requirement should be the passing of the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination (12-year course) or Pre-degree examination (10+2) or an equivalent certificate from a recognized board.
- The candidate shall be medically fit.
- For ST.SC candidates total aggregate mark (PCBE) is 40%
- Even married candidates are eligible.

Scheme of Exams:
- Minimum pass marks shall be 50% in each of the Theory & Practical papers separately
- A candidate must have a minimum of 80% attendance (irrespective of the kind of absence) in theory and practical in each subject to appear for the examination.
- A candidate must have 100% attendance in each of the practical areas before the award of the degree.
- A candidate has to pass in theory or practical exam separately in each of the papers.
- If a candidate fails in either theory or practical paper he/she has to reappear for both papers.
- The maximum number of attempts permitted for each paper is three including the first attempt.
- A Candidate who fails in more than 2 subjects will not promoted to the next year.
